‘Staff at Inverness garden centre ‘ecstatic’ after visit from EastEnders star

Staff at Simpsons were in for a soap-star surprise when an EastEnders actress walked through the doors of the Inverness garden centre.
Gillian Wright, who plays Jean Slater, visited the Culloden Road venue’s restaurant for a spot of lunch on Thursday.
Known for her special sausage surprise, the 66-year-old chatted with staff at Simpsons.
Gillian first appeared in EastEnders back in 2004 and is best known for being the mum of Albert Square favourite Stacey Slater.

It said: “Our team were ecstatic to have a little chat with her while she shopped.”

As well as the Highland capital, Simpsons also have garden centres in Fochabers and Mintlaw.
