Kurdistan Region President congratulates Al-Zaidi on nomination and tasking as Prime Minister

President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani on Monday congratulated Ali Al-Zaidi on his nomination and designation as Prime Minister, affirming his support and readiness to work with him.

In a post on the X platform, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Barzani said, “We congratulate Ali Al-Zaidi on his nomination and designation to the post of Prime Minister, wishing him success in his duties to form an inclusive national government that meets the aspirations of our people across Iraq and works to strengthen stability and advance reconstruction.”

He added, “We affirm our support for him and our willingness to work together toward a better future for all Iraqis.”
