Youth charged by police after riding e-scooter on public roads in Aberdeenshire town

A male youth has been charged and his e-scooter seized by police after riding it on public roads in Huntly.
He was stopped by police officers during routine patrols on June 10 in the Aberdeenshire town.
The male has been charged with “various road traffic offences”.
A report will be submitted to the relevant authority after the incident in Huntly.
Constable White of Police Scotland said: “Our priority is community safety. Modified e-bikes and illegal e-scooters on pavements pose a severe hazard to pedestrians and other road users.
“Let’s keep our streets safe for everyone.
“We would ask anyone who has any information about incidents of anti-social behaviour or illegal or dangerous use of vehicles to get in touch with us on 101.”
