President Nechirvan Barzani receives outgoing French Consul-General
21 July 26: President Nechirvan Barzani received Yann Braem, the departing Consul-General of France in Erbil, as his tenure came to an end.
During the meeting, the President expressed his gratitude to the French Consul-General for his dedicated service and pivotal role in strengthening the friendship and relations between France and the Kurdistan Region, wishing him success in his future endeavors.
In response, Mr. Braem conveyed his appreciation for the opportunity to serve in the Kurdistan Region, expressing his gratitude to President Nechirvan Barzani and the region’s institutions for the valued support and cooperation extended to him throughout his tenure.
The meeting also covered the shared aspiration to further strengthen relations and cooperation, the overall situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, and the latest developments in the region.
