President Nechirvan Barzani’s message on International Labour Day

On the International Labor Day, May 1st, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all workers in Kurdistan, Iraq, and around the globe, as well as their unions and organizations. I hold deep respect and gratitude for their diligent efforts, which significantly contribute to the reconstruction and development of our country.

On this special day, we reaffirm our unwavering support for the rights and rightful demands of workers. It is imperative that we adhere strictly to labor laws and ensure a safe and equitable environment that safeguards the dignity and rights of every worker, providing them with the security of a decent life.

We honor the memory of those workers who lost their lives while fulfilling their duties and it is essential that relevant parties meet their obligations to care for and support their families and loved ones, offering all necessary assistance.

I wish all workers peace and prosperity. Happy International Labor Day to everyone.
