Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani congratulates former Iraqi president Barham Salih on his appointment as UNHCR chief - Statement.

"Being appointed to such a high international position demonstrates the international community's trust in his [Barham Salih's] abilities, experience, and political and diplomatic stature. It is a source of pride for both the Kurdistan Region and Iraq that he will lead one of the world's most important humanitarian organizations," President Barzani said, according to a statement from Kurdistan Region Presidency.
