Caley Thistle have signed their two senior goalkeepers on new deals ahead of kicking off in next season’s Championship.

First choice Ross Munro, 26, has penned a two-year contract, while Logan Ross, 22, has signed for the next 12 months.

Munro joined the club last summer and went on to make 48 appearances, keeping 21 clean sheets last season.

The former Ross County goalkeeper, who played 10 first-team games for the Dingwall side, had loan spells at Raith Rovers, Cowdenbeath and Annan Athletic.

In January 2024, he made the move to League of Ireland side Dundalk where he spent a year before moving to Falkirk, then on their way to winning the Championship.

Ross Munro is ‘over the moon’

Munro, who hails from Nairn, played a massive role at the back in helping Inverness win League One earlier this month.

Agreeing new terms has put an added spring in his step.

He said: “I’m really happy, especially after the success of last season, and I’m still flying high from it, to be honest.

“To be offered a two-year deal, I’m over the moon and really happy to get it done.”

Logan Ross ‘really wanted to stay’

Munro was Ross County team-mates with Logan Ross, and they were reunited last year at Caley Thistle.

He made five appearances for Inverness in Challenge Cup ties, keeping three clean sheets.

And he explained how signing a new deal with ICT made sense.

He said: “I’m really happy to get it done. After last year went so well, I really wanted to stay, and it feels like the right thing for me.”

Ross came through the youth ranks at Ross County from 2000, although never made a first-team appearance.

He did, however, gain valuable experience on loan within the Highland League playing for Lossiemouth, Brora Rangers, Huntly, Forres Mechanics, Nairn County and Clachnacuddin as well as stint with League Two side Elgin City.

Manager Scott Kellacher is speaking to several members of his squad regarding contract extensions, with midfielder Paul Allan understood to have already agreed a two-year deal.

The club’s first signing of the summer this week saw their 2015 Scottish Cup-winning captain Graeme Shinnie return to the Highland capital.
