China's box office tops 400 million yuan during Dragon Boat Festival
The box office revenue for the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday had surpassed 400 million yuan (about $55.5 million) as of Monday, significantly exceeding the total from the same period last year, according to film data platform Maoyan. The popular films span genres such as animation, action, mystery, and science fiction, catering to the diverse preferences of audiences.
The three-day holiday coincides with International Children's Day on June 1, making family-friendly animated films a key component of this year's holiday box office, such as Endless Journey of Love, Doraemon: Nobita's Art World Tales, and Happy Little Submarine: Adventure Island.
