President Nechirvan Barzani meets with the Ambassador of Iran

President Nechirvan Barzani received Mr. Mohammad Kazem Al Sadeq, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, along with his accompanying delegation.

Their meeting addressed relations between Iran and Iraq, as well as the Kurdistan Region, discussing the overall situation in the country, relations between Erbil and Baghdad, and the ongoing dialogue aimed at resolving various issues.

Both sides conveyed their shared interest in enhancing relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran, grounded in the principles of good neighborliness and mutual interests, particularly in the economic sector.

With the attendance of the Iranian Consul General in Erbil, the discussions also focused on the regional situation and the critical importance of upholding peace and stability.
