Dons linked with Irish winger
Aberdeen may still be looking to strengthen their options out wide after being linked with Irish winger Kian Leavy.
The Dons reportedly ran the run over the 24-year-old St Patrick’s Athletic attacker in his side’s 2-0 win against Sligo Rovers in a League of Ireland Premier Division game on Friday.
Aberdeen were not the only Scottish club running the rule over Leavy with the Sun reporting Hibernian also had scouts in attendance to watch the player.
Leavy came through the ranks at Drogheda Town and earned a move to Reading in 2021.
He failed to make an appearance for the Royals in his time in England and returned to Ireland for a spell on loan at Shelbourne.
He joined St Pat’s in 2023 where his performances led to him making his debut for the Republic of Ireland earlier this month as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Canada in Montreal on June 5.
He is the first St Patrick’s Athletic player to be capped by the senior international team while playing for the club in 55 years.
