President Nechirvan Barzani meets with Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit

President Nechirvan Barzani, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, held talks with Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit as part of his ongoing series of diplomatic engagements at the event.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Their discussions focused on recent political and security developments in Iraq and the broader region, as well as the Kurdistan Region’s relations with Arab countries. Both sides emphasized the necessity of preserving stability and preventing conflict in the region.

Secretary-General Aboul Gheit commended President Nechirvan Barzani and the Kurdistan Region for their efforts to maintain balance and foster a spirit of coexistence and reiterated the Arab League’s commitment to supporting peace and stability in both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
