Aberdeen target David Watson coy on transfer speculation
The Dons have offered a pre-contract to the Kilmarnock winger who is a free agent in the summer.
Aberdeen transfer target David Watson insists he is happy to leave his future to his agent as he focuses on keeping Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.
The Dons have made a pre-contract offer to Watson while Killie rejected a £500,000 offer from Bolton Wanderers on deadline day for the Scotland under-21 international who is out of contract in the summer.
Interest in the player is expected to increase in the coming months but Watson, speaking ahead of his side’s Premiership game against Celtic on Sunday, is happy to let his agent handle it.
He told the Herald: “I’m not dealing with that; it’s my agent who will do that.
“I’m just focused on what I’m doing, and I’ll take it day by day and game by game. I wasn’t aware of what was going on during the window.
“I was focusing on what I had to do on the pitch. Even when I was suspended, I was still at the games. I always focus on Kilmarnock before anything else.
“It’s the type of person I am. I’m not fussed about outside noise. I’d rather concentrate on what’s happening on the pitch; it’s the same now.”
