A First Bus was left stuck at the foot of Aberdeen hill.

The number 15 service was attempting to turn onto Rockall Road in the city’s Torry area when it became stuck on Friday night.

It is unclear how many passengers were onboard the service at the time.

The tail end of the bus became grounded on the neighbouring residential street, Girdleness Road. Image supplied by Ledo Karaliene.

Pictures taken by stunned onlookers show the bus isolated on the steep incline.

The tail end of the single-decker bus was left grounded at the foot of the Aberdeen brae as a result of the sharp right turn.

Girdleness Road was left partially blocked by the incident.

A spokeswoman for First Bus said: “We can confirm that at around 8pm last night, one of our drivers was on diversion in the Torry area and took a wrong turn, causing the bus they were driving to become temporarily stranded.

“The bus was moved within the hour.”
