His Majesty also thanked Putin for the warm welcome in Moscow and invited him to make a state visit to Malaysia next year, which will mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Relations between Russia and Malaysia are developing well, said Putin.

“Our relations between our countries are developing well. Next year we celebrate the anniversary of our diplomatic relations,” Putin said at a meeting with the Malaysian King, adding that the states are actively cooperating in the international arena, including in the UN and Asean.

Trade and economic relations between Russia and Malaysia are developing, and there are all prerequisites to overcome a slight decrease in trade, the president said.

“I want to thank you once again for being with us, and to express the hope that relations between our states will develop as steadily as they have so far,” the Russian leader said. — Bernama
