Jack Brown has joined Formartine United on loan from Peterhead.

Manager Stuart Anderson believes new signing Jack Brown will be a great asset for Formartine United.

The midfielder has joined the Breedon Highland League side on loan from League One club Peterhead.

Brown, 24, has been with the Blue Toon since January 2022 and helped them win the League Two title in 2025.

However, a temporary change in his work circumstances has meant returning to the Highland League for the time being is more suitable for the former Rothes and Inverness Caledonian Thistle player.

Brown is Formartine’s third summer signing after the arrivals of Matthew Cooper and Wallace Baird.

North Lodge Park boss Anderson said: “Jack will add loads of quality to our squad.

“He’s someone who is really comfortable at League One level and has played a lot of games at that level.

“He’ll bring that quality and even though he’s still relatively young Jack has got very good experience both in the Highland League and the SPFL so he’ll make us stronger.

Formartine manager Stuart Anderson is pleased to have signed Jack Brown.

“It was a no-brainer for us when the opportunity came up to bring Jack in because of the quality he has.

“We’re excited to see how he gets on at Formartine. We’ve got a lot of good options in midfield going into the new season and I’m happy with that.

“Jack has had a change in work circumstances which mean that just now it suits him better to play more locally.

“But Jack is very highly-thought of at Peterhead and remains a big part of their plans, which says it all in terms of his quality.

“We’ll benefit from having Jack in the short-term and we’re delighted to have him.”
