President Nechirvan Barzani meets with new Head of the Consular Office of Japan

   President Nechirvan Barzani received Mr. Hitoshi Ishizuka, the newly appointed head of the consular office of Japan in Erbil. President Nechirvan Barzani welcomed Mr. Ishizuka and congratulated him on his new role, expressing his best wishes for success and affirming the support of all relevant parties.

 The President conveyed the Kurdistan Region’s desire to enhance ties with Japan, emphasizing opportunities for Japanese employment and investment in both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. He also expressed appreciation to Japan for its aid and support in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. Mr. Ishizuka emphasized that his country places significant value on its relationship with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, expressing a desire to enhance collaboration across multiple sectors. He also provided an overview of initiatives undertaken by Japanese companies in the Kurdistan Region, along with their operational agenda.
