President Nechirvan Barzani receives a phone call from the President of the UAE

President Nechirvan Barzani received a phone call from UAE President His Majesty Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Saturday evening.

During the call, His Majesty Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed offered a strong condemnation of the drone attack targeting President Nechirvan Barzani’s residence in Duhok earlier that day, reaffirming the UAE’s unwavering support for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in preserving their security and stability.

President Nechirvan Barzani expressed his gratitude for the call and for the UAE’s ongoing backing of both the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

The two leaders also turned their attention to the broader regional situation, discussing recent developments stemming from the ongoing war and aligning on the urgent need to advance efforts toward ending the conflict and achieving lasting peace and stability.
